Q: "Obligatory what program do you use?"A: I use Paint Tool Sai 2 and Clip Studio Paint for drawing, Photoshop 2021 for edits/gif making, Adobe Animate 2021, Clip Studio Paint, and TV Paint for animating. I render with Adobe Media Encoder 2020, edit videos with Adobe After Effects 2020, record and edit audio with Audacity, and stream with OBS Studio. I've been using Beepbox to make chiptunes, and I've slowly been learning iZotope.

Q: "Do you do art trades?"A: With friends, yes. If we aren’t friends or mutuals, our art skills have to be somewhat similar.

Q: "What username do you even go by now??"A: HAHA... Basically all of them? I'm still formally known as "crustybagelbites", but I also go by "crustylord" and the real plain and simple "crusty".

Q: "So Crusty, you have a nice art style very distinct. So who or what helped inspire your style?"A: I grew up with media from the late 90s and 2000s, and I really fell in love with stylized cartoons like Samurai Jack, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Spongebob, Chowder, and Billy and Mandy! I also really love 80s-90s-2000s anime, specifically Dragonball Z, Princess Mononoke, Inuyasha, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, and Akira. I have a strong passion for 90s/early 2000s games as well as comics, so all of that definitely had a play in my style as well.Another big inspo was the fact that I grew up on early YouTube flash animations, Newgrounds, and Flipnote Hatena. That should explain... Well... You know.For the longest time I really tried to make my art look serious and realistic since that's what I was told people wanted to see, but making comics and cartoons has always been my passion. Having a proper understanding of anatomy and the psychology of animation/colors/film design really helped solidify my style today.

Q: "How many creases can you put on a single face before it stops being funny?"A: I like to keep it simple... maybe about 25?? I've never actually tested that, so I'll make a mental note and come back to this question later.Edit: I tried this and honestly I can shit maybe over 50+ wrinkles of various sizes until the face is completely indistinguishable.

Q: "Why are you gay?"A: I watched Fifth Element too young and Leeloo turned me gay 😔I ALSO watched Princess Mononoke too young and Prince Ashitaka turned me gay.

Q: "whos your bestest fwiend?"A: My partner, everyone in my D&D group, Vree, and Howl.

I do comic and animation commissions.If you'd like to commission a comic, send me an email and we can discuss it there. However, animation commissions can be purchased on my Ko-fi!If you'd like an animation commission with a duration longer than 20 seconds, email me first and we can discuss payment there.I can also design custom shirts, pins, and charms!
